Here we announce an exciting opportunity for a remote senior Java developer who can find elegant solutions to difficult problems and get things done in time. We have two possible projects, with teams based in Europe, which will be matched to your specific skills and interest:

  • Development of an existing data management product that’s being actively used by global life sciences companies
  • Development of a new online biological knowledge base product led by a well-known software productivity company

Role Overview

  • Development of state-of-the-art SaaS data/knowledge management systems
  • Finding, justifying, and developing best-fitting solutions
  • API development, data storage optimisation, and cluster process management

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of software development experience with Java/Kotlin
  • Professional English proficiency
  • Strong experience with Spring, PostgreSQL/MySQL, and web application development
  • Solid knowledge of OOP, data structures, and algorithms
  • History of working in an agile environment with disciplined SDLC

Nice to Have

  • Experience with big data, AWS, and Unix-like systems
  • Experience with Python/R
  • Interest in bioinformatics
